How do I customise my MX records within Plesk?

Last updated: October 14, 2020

Editing your MX records through Plesk may be required if you are changing email providers but your website/DNS hosting may still be kept with us.

Note that if your DNS or nameservers are hosted elsewhere, changing your MX records through Plesk will NOT have any proper effect.

To add a new record

  1. Login to your Plesk (WordPress) service through MyZuver.
You can do this by clicking ‘Manage Web Hosting’ and clicking the Plesk ‘Login’ button.
  2. Click on the DNS Settings icon.
  3. From here you can click the Add Record button.
  4. Then change the Record Type in the drop down menu box.
  5. Enter the priority of the record and it’s destination.
  6. Click OK to add your MX record.

To delete an existing record

  1. Login to your Plesk (WordPress) service through MyZuver.
You can do this by clicking ‘Manage Web Hosting’ and clicking the Plesk ‘Login’ button.
  2. Click on the DNS Settings icon.
  3. Click Manage to the right of the domain you wish to edit.
  4. Check the box next to your existing MX record and click the Remove button located at the top.

When DNS records are adjusted please allow up to 24 hours for DNS to propagate, however, most records should propagate in 4-8 hours.
