1. Get your EPP password
Before you can submit the transfer request for your domain name, you need to have the current EPP password. You should have received this when you first purchased the domain name, but if you didn't, simply contact your current provider and ask to obtain it.
-
2. Have access to your registrant contact email
Once you have submitted the order for your domain name transfer, you will need to approve it. To do this, you will need access to the email address that is stored in the WHOIS database for your domain name. If you do not have access to this email address, please contact your current provider for further assistance.
-
3. Submit your order and wait it out
When you have successfully approved the domain transfer you may need to wait up to 7 days for the transfer to complete. During this time your domain name will continue to work as-is, but you will not be able to make any changes to it. Some extensions can be manually approved for outbound transfer without waiting by contacting your current provider.
