The fun part about making a website is finding the best WordPress plugins from all over the internet, and customising your site to suit your business.

There are so many options these days, from ecommerce to tracking, to competitions and countdown timers. We thought we’d share a couple of our favourites to help you get your website looking as schmick as possible!

SEO is a critical component of your website – it’s how your customers find you, so it’s the first plugin you should look to add to your site.

We particularly love the Yoast SEO plugin. It’s easily considered one of the best WordPress plugins on the market to optimise your website and ensure it’s ranking well.

It lets you add SEO titles and descriptions, it gives you a checklist to follow to make sure you’ve covered everything, and it provides content analysis.

Contact Forms

It makes sense that if people are arriving on your website, you want to provide them with a way to contact you.

Contact Form 7 is the place to start!

It allows you to seamlessly create and manage multiple contact forms, use reCaptcha verification, and filters out spam. You don’t have to worry about coding it in – it’s easy, straight forward, and simple to get set up on your site.

The best part? It’s free!

Selling online is a lucrative business model if you’ve got a great product. But, you want to make sure you’ve made it as easy as possible for your customers to buy!

WooCommerce is a fantastic plugin with a crazy amount of features, extensions and customisations. There are themes, optimisation tools and plenty of reports and data to keep you busy.

Page Builders

WordPress has recently released Gutenberg, which makes it super easy to put your page together, but if it still sounds a little too much for you, we recommend checking out Elementor instead.

It’s one of the easiest builders to use, and it’s pretty cost effective too – less than $100 for a year! Well worth the money if it means a beautifully built page to show off to your customers.

How do I get a plugin?

Great question! We’re glad you asked.

The first step is having a WordPress site, and preferably some great hosting to go with it – and we know a great sale that will help get you online! Until February 10 2020, we’re offering 60% off WordPress hosting with Zuver – so it’s the perfect opportunity to set up that website you’ve always wanted to launch, or to move your site over from your existing provider!
